about me

I have always felt touched by the arts in all its forms. It informed my early work as an artist-craftsman and continues to be central to my work as a psychotherapist and consultant.

I have a background in senior management in the third sector where I had responsibility for support, training, counselling services as well as policy and values based practice development. These services worked with people who experienced difficulties due to complex mental health and trauma.

My own spiritual path takes in meditation and times of solitude in the outdoors. Having come from the Netherlands my heart soars when out in the hills taking in the vastness of the Scottish landscape.

Currently I bring the following strands together in my working life:
- Individual counselling and psychotherapy
- Mindful relations couples work
-Clinical supervision to psychotherapists, counsellors and complimentary therapists
- Faculty member with the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London, where I teach on the MA psychotherapy training programme
- Consultancy work with organisations
- Trainer and group work facilitator

My psychotherapy training started in 1992 and I have the following qualifications.
- MA Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy
- Diploma Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counselling
- Certificate Psychodynamic Supervision
- Foundation Course in Group Analysis
- Certified Labyrinth Facilitator
- Registered Manager Health and Care

I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and accredited with the Association of Psychospiritual Practitioners.

I abide by the Code of Ethics of the Institute of Psychosynthesis. Copies of the Code of Ethics can be downloaded from the downloads page of this website.
